Principle
The basic principle is that can be Member of Mediterranean Athletics Union any country affiliated both to IAAF and to International Committee of Mediterranean Games (ICJM), plus Israel, Palestine and Portugal. Therefore, a total of 27 countries are eligible for the title of MAU Member. The 22 founding Federations – signatories of the Constitution – werejoined by 3 others Federations.
The members of Mediterranean Athletics Union can make proposal and participate in actions put in place by the Union.
